A Positive Experience with Instructional Technology:
I love using the smartboard with my students. I feel that my students get more out of my teaching when they can apply what they have learned by using the smartboard. I am hoping to learn even more things that I can use on the smartboard to even enhance my students learning even more.

My Teach 21 Project
My project with my 2nd grade class will be to build a Vocabulary Photo Story. Each child will be given a vocabulary word that we have been studying that week and they must take this word and create a drawing or make something to demonstrate the word. Once they have made a drawing or created a something for their word they will have to write a sentence using this word. We will then take a picture of the student with their vocabulary word, scan their writing of the word and take a picture of the student with their project. After all pictures are scanned into the computer I will have the arrange their vocabulary words in abc order to make a photo story of their work. By working with these vocabulary words the students will not just memorize the word they will actually fine meaning in the word and hopefully this will help them understand the importance of learning new vocabulary.
