About Me:

This August I will start my 16th year of teaching.  My first five years were at the elementary level, and for the remainder of the time I have worked with middle school students.  For the last two years I have worked on my specialist degree in Instructional Technology, and I am thrilled to be graduating in December. This fall I'll be really busy implementing my action project in technology by teaching students to create wikis at www.wetpaint.com

A Positive Experience with Instructional Technology:

For the last two years my students have worked collaboratively to create online projects on topics in World mythology.  Last fall they had the option of creating a wiki, website, or blog, and they were 100% responsible for desiging the sites, uploading their information, and editing their information.  While it was a great learning experience for them, I think I learned just as much as they did.  I'd like to create and maintain ongoing classroom blog this year.

Interests:

  • classrooms blogs
  • epals
  • classroom response systems

Sorry I won't be able to be at VSU tomorrow. I know the presentation will be wonderful.
